The Apartment
Our apartment is on 9th Street and 7th Avenue, near a major commercial area, 2 blocks from Prospect Park and half a block from the subway. It's a 1-bedroom walk-up (no elevator) on the top floor (3rd floor; 2 flights up) of a small house built around 1900. The apartment is in the rear of the building and does not face the street, so it's generally quiet and peaceful at night. Because the single bedroom is small, and there is only one bathroom, the apartment is best for 2 people; however, it's possible to accommodate up to 5 people with 2 people sharing one full bed, 2 people sharing an air bed, and one person on the couch. There is TV, a Blu-Ray/DVD player, wireless internet, and air conditioning. Please note there is no landline (regular phone), so guests should please bring a cell phone. Down the hall and one flight up, we have a small, private roof deck with a view of Manhattan in the distance. It's important to emphasize that we co-own the building with our neighbors; we ask that our guests respect the comfort and safety of everyone in the building, as we will be sure to do as guests in return.
